RELATED: Sword Art Online Anime Franchise Reveals New Original Film Shortly after the initial announcement, Bandai Namco confirmed plans to bring the game to the west in 2023. The latest game to be revealed is Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, a single and online co-op entry that's currently in the works for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC for a 2023 launch. Naturally, that served up the perfect opportunity for announcements, including a new original film and another action-RPG take on the series. Novemmarked the in-universe date that the Sword Art Onlinegame first went online, eventually trapping 10,000 players within its servers for the ultimate survive or die scenario.
